Archives for posts with tag: Theme reveal

The next two archive posts on this blog about English sayings are about expressions including words connected with Christianity and birds.  It is usual to say that being hit by a bird-dropping is a blessing.  It is more of a nuisance, but perhaps calling it a blessing cheers the target up.  A mixed blessing is something, which ought to be a benefit, but has some disadvantages.  Hence the title of this post.

Watch the birdie! (as I have doubtlessly mentioned elsewhere) is a catchphrase used by photographers.  The people being photographed are all supposed to prepare for the shutter to click.

The Blogging from A to Z in April Challenge is only weeks away.  The Theme Reveal – for bloggers, who have chosen a subject to blog about – is on 23 March 2015.  I am getting ready to take part on Sue’s Trifles.  What about you?

The next two archive posts are links to 40 posts with explanations of their titles and a post about expressions connected with drinking alcohol.  Comments are closed on the earlier posts, but you are welcome to comment here for a limited time.

New posts are published each Saturday on Sue’s Trifles.  This April Sue’s Trifles will be participating in the Blogging from A to Z in April Challenge.  The theme reveal is less than one month away on 23 March.
