Hi! I just wanted you to know I have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Someone nominated me today and I had to pick 10 others – you’re one of them because I enjoy your posts. To participate, there are some rules to follow which you probably know if you have received an award before. Otherwise stop by my blog and see the rules. It’s of course up to you if you want to participate. Have a nice day!
Thank you, Gorzalicious.
I am really surprised to be nominated as I have not been blogging very long. For this reason, I am not familiar with the posts of many other bloggers and feel unable to participate.
However, I’ll tell you a little about myself.
I am a member of the Church of England. I enjoy many craft activities, including knitting, crochet, dressmaking and tapestry, but not counted cross-stitch. I am an amateur musician.

What about the bee’s knees? 🙂
I kept the part of wordpress’s tagline, which was on the template. I didn’t even anglicise the spelling of pyjamas. But I do prefer the bee’s knees. I might have changed it more, if I hadn’t referred to not being able to change it in one of my early posts!
Oh, I didn’t know that “came with wordpress”. I find this to be rather sophisticated after blogging at multiply. Wordplay is fun. 🙂
The bee’s knees !
Specially adapted by evolution to carry pollen back to the communal nest.
I believe the original form of “better the devil you know…” was “Better the devil you know than the ANGEL you don’t know.” More challenging idea, anyway.
I’ve never heard that before!
Check out my latest post if you have time. I hope it isn’t going to cause what you call a food fight! I know the expressions bun fight and feeding frenzy!
Sue

Hi! I’ve enjoyed your blog and have decided to nominate you for a Liebster Award.
Here is your nomination: http://embroidyourself.com/2013/08/22/nominated-to-liebster-award
Congratulations!
~Léna
Léna – I am honoured. However, if you look down the right-hand column below my posts, you will find that this is an award-free blog.
I hope you will continue to enjoy it. 🙂 Sue
Oh-oh, as if it is not written with big enough letters, …sorry! See how my mind works, I remember spotting Alice in Wonderland because I have it as a tag, too but didn’t notice anything above 🙂 I’m sure this doesn’t make the value of your blog less and I keep coming! 🙂
I’ll look forward to your visits! 🙂 Sue
Glad to have found your blog. I once had an idea to write a children’s book based on all those fun sayings from the 1920s (like the cats pajamas ). But never did! Still all those phrases (and language in general) move me. Looking forward to your posts
Thanks. I’m not sure if this could be turned into a successful book. I still have plenty of material. Sue
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting my blog.
I wish you well in your blogging journey. 😀

Likewise, and the same to you 🙂 Sue
I just wanted you to know that I enjoy reading your blog and think it very interesting and helpful. I would like to nominate you for a Liebster Award. I do realize you may have more than 200 followers, but I do like your blog.

Nicole, I am honoured. However, although I am eligible for this award having 190 followers, above my tag cloud in the footer on the right, I have made my blog award-free. I may answer some of your questions at a later date. I enjoy your blog too. Sue
Thanks for liking my poem.
🙂

Thanks for following 🙂 Sue
You’re welcome 🙂
This is a great concept for a blog. I can see using your blog as a resource, but it’s interesting reading on its own, too. Well done!
Thank you. I am wondering about turning it into a book. 😕 Sue
